MEMORIES OF DAYS ON THE WHARF

Below is a piece i have titled MEMORIES OF DAYS ON THE WHARF. It is a piece with a unique texture and subtle aroma of the north western branch of the long forgotten fishing industry.
It blends the modernist accent of mass industrial fishing and the gentler rural image of the mist floating over the morning ketches as they set there sails for the deep trenches of the south eastern norwegian cod plains. The liberal use of goache on chip paper adds to the raw aroma of the work and combines with the subtle hint of raw stinging sarsons to complete this unique piece .
A snip at ONE MILLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
