That'll be a 1302 model. Quite interesting because it marks the change-over from torsion-bar front suspension to mac-pherson struts. This necessitated a complete re-design of the front-end by volkswagen including changing the spare wheel well from vertical to a horizontal orientation.
It reportedly improved the handling. But the earlier cars are still way cooler.
You know they wouldn't let me put any VW questions in the pub quiz because they were deemed "too hard". More interesting than all that stupid sports crap though.
